Your child's safety
To ensure your child's safety whilst in our care:
- All external doors are alarmed and monitored by a member of staff;
- The playground is enclosed with no access from the outside - other than through our building;
- Regular fire drills make sure staff and children alike are aware of the routine;
- We operate a password system which means if someone we don't know turns up to collect your child, if they don't have your password then your child is not allowed to go with them.
Children will always have accidents and staff will fill out an accident form, no matter how small the incident and parents will be informed and asked to sign the form. All staff are checked with the Criminal Records Bureau and have had training in child protection. As a provider of childcare services we acknowledge the Children's Act 1989 and Every Child Matters. Any member of staff who suspects that a child is being abused or neglected has a duty to report it to the relevant bodies and to work with them to safeguard and promote the child's welfare.
